When I read Sopheap ly's No Dream Beyond My Rreach and Randy Ertll's Hope in times of Darkness, the two writers impressed me. they are both immigrantts, authors, and successful people.they are both good examles for us.
Shopheap ly was a refugee from Cambodia. When she was 16 years old,she had a big dream she wanted to be a doctor.Randy was arefugee from El Salvador. When he was 13 years old ,he learned that writing is very powerful. They never gave up their dream. They carred through with hard work and determination.today ly works as a board-certified internist at the VA in the San Diego healthcare system.Randy is the executive director of the pasadena-baced EL Centro De Accion Social an organization Dedicated to providing educational support to low-income youth and programs for elderly lations.
theirs stories that encourage new comers,no motter where you start, no
motter how poor you are.Believe in youself. You can do almost anything you want.Through working hard, you can reach your goals.you can get a better life.you can look like Sopheap ly and Randy Ertll find your America dream.

I am reminded of this everytime I come to school. So many of our fellow students have come through difficult journeys and are perservering to achieve their dreams. I am humbled by them.
